A pre-race sample was taken from Diegonator upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Diegonator was a late scratching at 6:10pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Howell was fined the sum of $100.
A pre race sample was taken from Aeroplane Bob.
Aeroplane Bob was slow to begin. Coolan Boy crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Addictive Bryce and Miss Cintiarna. Why Not Barrel checked off Addictive Bryce on the first turn. Miss Cintiarna checked off Coolan Boy approaching the second turn. Aeroplane Bob and Coolan Boy collided in the back straight. Addictive Bryce checked off Miss Cintiarna entering the home straight.
