A pre-race sample was taken from Show Bag Carter.
Flaming Bob, Smooth Rebel and Cool Springs were slow to begin. Flaming Bob and Smooth Rebel collided soon after the start checking Flaming Bob which faltered and tailed off as a result. Mabuti Girl and See Him Run collided approaching the home turn checking Mabuti Girl. Cool Springs checked off Mabuti Girl on the home turn.
Flaming Bob was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
