Steward's Report
Bageera was slow to begin. Diamond Rocks was quick to begin. Desert General and Bageera collided soon after the start. Dr. Yuki and Tiger Bobby collided soon after the start. Diamond Rocks failed to pursue the lure with due committment approaching the first turn. Dr. Yuki and Jemma's Fantasy collided approaching the first turn. Bageera checked off Tiger Bobby in the back straight. Dr. Yuki checked off Tiger Bobby collided approaching the home turn.
A sample was taken from Diamond Rocks - the winner of the event.
Diamond Rocks was vetted following Race 11. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr. Koutsourakis declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Koutsourakis, the trainer of the greyhound Diamond Rocks regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Diamond Rocks with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. N. Koutsourakis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Diamond Rocks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
