Fab Dream was slow to begin. Fab Dream, Chinese Whisper and Rippin Tay Tay collided approaching the first turn, checking Oh Lele Simon and Rippin Tay Tay, which stumbled as a result. Rippin Tay Tay and Oh Lele Simon collided on the first turn. Chinese Whisper and Canal Court collided in the back straight. Canal Court checked off Chinese Whisper approaching the home turn. Chinese Whisper fell after the winning post.
Chinese Whisper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed.
