Downing Street, Gothamburg and Rory Brown collided soon after the start, checking Gothamburg. Sally's Cookie and Rory Brown raced wide on the first turn. Our Mate Wilson checked off Hit The Runway on the second turn. Sally's Cookie and Inky collided on the second turn, checking Sally's Cookie. Downing Street and Gothamburg collided entering the back straight, checking Downing Street. Rory Brown checked off Downing Street in the back straight. Downing Street checked off Inky entering the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Leprechaun Storm - the winner of the event. 

Rory Brown was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the right fore toe, a three day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Langton, the trainer of Hit The Runway regarding the greyhound vomiting in the catching pen directly after the event . Stewards retrieved two tablets which were expelled with the vomit. Ms. Langton stated that the tablets were Rapid-K, a slow releasing Potassium tablet which aids in the recovery of the greyhound. Stewards noted Ms. Langton's comments and directed a urine sample to be taken from the Hit The Runway. Stewards have taken possession of the tablets for testing. 

Hit The Runway was vetted following event seven. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
