Rory Brown was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the right fore toe, a three day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Langton, the trainer of Hit The Runway regarding the greyhound vomiting in the catching pen directly after the event . Stewards retrieved two tablets which were expelled with the vomit. Ms. Langton stated that the tablets were Rapid-K, a slow releasing Potassium tablet which aids in the recovery of the greyhound. Stewards noted Ms. Langton's comments and directed a urine sample to be taken from the Hit The Runway. Stewards have taken possession of the tablets for testing. 

Hit The Runway was vetted following event seven. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Boy George and Kalgoorlie Kid were slow to begin. Bucky Barnes crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Extreme Magic. Destini Fortress, Kalgoorlie Kid and Dr. Frankie collided soon after the start, checking Kalgoorlie Kid. Destini Fortress and Kalgoorlie Kid collided on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Extreme Magic and Boy George collided approaching the second turn, checking Boy George. Destini Fortress and Dr. Frankie collided entering the back straight. Chinese Whisper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left pencil muscle, a fourteen day stand down period was imposed.

Diamond Rocks was vetted following Race 11. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr. Koutsourakis declined to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Koutsourakis, the trainer of the greyhound Diamond Rocks regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Diamond Rocks with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. N. Koutsourakis pleaded not guilty to the charge, Diamond Rocks was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Candyo was slow to begin. Sidevalve and Our Turbo Boy collided soon after the start. Our Turbo Boy and Ruby Ohara collided approaching the first turn. Sidevalve and Latifi Nick Nack collided approaching the first turn. Latifi Nick Nack checked off Ruby Ohara on the first turn. Latifi Nick Nack and Our Turbo Boy collided on the second turn. Sidevalve checked off Ruby Ohara on the third turn.

Zelemar Bomba and Swing Arm were slow to begin. Zelemar Bobma and Swing Arm collided soon after the start. Santano and Seven Shadows collided soon after the start. Hey Shaza Fozz, Zelemar Bomba and Swing Arm collided approaching the first turn, checking Swing Arm and severely checking Zelemar Bomba which lost ground as a result. Seven Shadows was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor inflammation to the right hock, no stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Galea, the trainer of Bro Sam's Hook regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bro Sam's Hook last raced on 14th of June, 2016. Mr. Galea stated that Bro's Sam's Hook is returning to racing from a back toe injury.

Diamond was slow to begin. Kashmir Cashe and Invictus Glory collided soon after the start. Kashmir Cashe and Invictus Glory collided approaching the first turn, checking Kashmir Cashe. My Mate Fab and Dark Portal collided on the first turn, checking Dark Portal. Dark Portal galloped on the heels of My Mate Fab on the second turn, causing Dark Portal to fall. Destini Mantello and Diamond collided approaching the home turn. Bro Sam's Hook checked off Kashmir Cashe on the home turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Destini Ricardo trialled over the 515m from box 1, weight 33.4kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 30.43, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 length. Destini Ricardo was not cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - My Lady Limonite trialled over the 515m from box 8, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 30.43, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14.5 lengths. My Lady Limonite was cleared.
