Flying Holly, Sir Murray and Daintree Alice collided soon after the start, checking Sir Murray. Abbie's Dream and Lemon Patchwork collided soon after the start, checking Lemon Patchwork. Flying Holly and Daintree Alice collided on the first turn, checking Flying Holly. Flying Holly and Lemon Patchwork collided entering the back straight, checking both greyhounds. Swift Bunny galloped on the heels of Slipaway Simba on the home turn. Flying Holly and Swift Bunny collided entering the home straight, checking Swift Bunny. Sir Murray raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to handler Mr G.Singh regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Shelby Thunder. Stewards directed that Shelby Thunder be boxed first in future events.
