Ariki Whero and Johnny Jaffa collided approaching the first turn. Brahma's Pride, Kamchatka Lass and Major Moe collided approaching the first turn, checking Kamchatka Lass which collided with Ariki Whero. Kamchatka Lass, Ariki Whero and Lloyd Christmas collided on the first turn, checking Kamchatka Lass and severely checking Ariki Whero.
