A pre-race sample was taken from My Lady Limonite.
My Lady Limonite was quick to begin. Dewana Be Sharp and Oh Lele Simon collided soon after the start. Dewana Be Sharp, Oh Lele Simon and Dundee Tango collided on the first turn. Dundee Tango raced wide entering the front straight. Pictures Of Me, Canal Court and Daintree Jim collided on the second turn. My Lady Limonite eased on the second turn. Pictures Of Me and Canal Court collided on the third turn, checking Pictures Of Me and Daintree Jim. Oh Lele Simon galloped on the heels of Pictures Of Me on the fourth turn, checking both greyhounds. My Lady Limonite eased in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Richer, the trainer of the greyhound My Lady Limonite regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn and in the home straight. My Lady Limonite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lumbo-sacral injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged My Lady Limonite with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Richer pleaded guilty to the charge, My Lady Limonite was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
