Steward's Report
Charcoal Ash was quick to begin. Master Spike and Dreaming Annie collided soon after the start. Mantra Lass, Burnsy's Gypsy, Dreaming Annie and Dinky Sab collided on the first turn checking Dreaming Annie, Dinky Sab, Brooklyn Snow and Master Spike. Brooklyn Snow was checked off Dreaming Annie approaching the home turn. Charcoal Ash cramped in the home straight and lost considerable ground.
Charcoal Ash was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound cramped, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Hill the trainer of the greyhound Charcoal Ash. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. D. Halas regarding his failure to engage a catcher for his greyhound Dinky Sab. Stewards reminded Mr. Halas of his responsibilities.
