Steward's Report
Sonic Phantom and Mick Mow were slow to begin. Wot Price Danny and Hondo Supaboy collided soon after the start. Sonic Phantom and Wot Price Danny collided approaching the first turn. Wot Price Danny and Mahlo Express collided on the first turn checking Mahlo Express, Kosi Can and Leaf Cutter and severely checking Wot Price Danny which lost considerable ground. Sonic Phantom tailed off approaching the home turn.
Sonic Phantom was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 9. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have an elevated temperature, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Reinders the trainer of the greyhound Sonic Phantom. Stewards deemed the performance of Sonic Phantom unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Sonic Phantom must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
