Larkhill Buck and Dodgy Dealer were slow to begin.  Whatta Joke and Cry Baby Jeff collided approaching the first turn.  Larkhill Buck, Where's Tom and Whatta Joke collided on the first turn checking Larkhill Buck and Where's Tom.  Liberty and Cry Baby Jeff collided on the first turn checking Cry Baby Jeff.

Here's Hannibal was slow to begin.  Cut's Out Time, Pure Mayhem and Ruff Edges collided approaching the first turn.  Rainbow Miss crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Cut's Out Time, Pure Mayhem, Sonic Fantasy and Hare Addict and causing Sonic Fantasy to fall severely checking Pure Mayhem as a result.  Hare Addict was checked off Rainbow Miss on the first turn.

Burnsy's Bruiser, Playing Tough and Roxy's Pride were slow to begin.  Tashelle Lea crossed to the outside approaching the first turn and collided with Roxy's Pride.  Burnsy's Bruiser crossed to the outside approaching the first turn.  Roxy's Pride crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Roxy's Pride and severely checking Playing Tough, Tashelle Lea fell as a result.  Sonic Pirate raced wide in the home straight.

Dr. Jaffar, Ravishing Ruth and Yabba Dabba Dee were slow to begin.  Run Cecil Run and Ravishing Ruth collided approaching the first turn.  Near History and Dr. Mindy collided on the first turn.  Run Cecil Run, Ravishing Ruth and Yabba Dabba Dee collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Dr. Jaffar and Dr. Mindy collided on the first turn.  Ravishing Rush was checked off Dr. Jaffar on the home turn.

Dennis Bale, Dr. Talula and Al Moran collided approaching the first turn.  Dyna Tony and Scorcher collided on the first turn checking Dyna Tony, Scorcher and Philism.  So Confused was checked off Philism on the first turn and stumbled.  Scorcher was checked off Philism approaching the home turn checking Dr. Talula.  So Confused crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Dr. Talula.  Dyna Tony and Philism collided on the home turn.

Sonic Phantom and Mick Mow were slow to begin.  Wot Price Danny and Hondo Supaboy collided soon after the start.  Sonic Phantom and Wot Price Danny collided approaching the first turn.  Wot Price Danny and Mahlo Express collided on the first turn checking Mahlo Express, Kosi Can and Leaf Cutter and severely checking Wot Price Danny which lost  considerable ground.  Sonic Phantom tailed off approaching the home turn.

Sonic Phantom was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 9.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have an elevated temperature, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Reinders the trainer of the greyhound Sonic Phantom.  Stewards deemed the performance of Sonic Phantom unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Sonic Phantom must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Gin Lee's Gem was quick to begin.  Dr. Thanos and Modest Ruler collided soon after the start.  Dr. Wangdang, Warm It Up, Dr. Thanos and Modest Ruler collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Wangdang and Warm It Up.  Modest Ruler, Blazing Madam and Albo Gold collided on the first turn checking Albo Gold.  Albo Gold and Blazing Madam collided approaching the home turn.  Dr. Thanos was checked off Albo Gold approaching the home turn.

Ripplebrook Al, Proven Looper and Stagger collided soon after the start.  Ripplebrook Al and Proven Looper collided approaching the first turn checking Ripplebrook Al.  Proven Looper was checked off Southpaw Boxer approaching the home turn.  Stagger and Knockin' Nowhere collided entering the home straight.

Proven Looper was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a dislocated toe on the right front foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Elite Streak was quick to begin.  Transparent was slow to begin.  Neon Storm and Just Call Me collided approaching the first turn.  Two Stroke Pat was checked off Semyorka on the first turn checking Just Call Me and causing Transparent to race wide.  Cooper's Paddy and Two Stroke Pat collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Transparent raced wide in the home straight.  Semyorka crossed to the rail approaching the winning post checking Just Call Me and Biffon Racer.

Explosive Dolly was quick to begin.  Bristler's Patch and Bally Lad were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Brandeen Katie was checked off Lionel's Alone on the first turn.  Milky galloped on Explosive Dolly on the first turn checking Lionel's Alone and severely checking Milky.  Milky galloped on Brandeen Katie approaching the home turn and collided with Bristler's Patch.  Lionel's Alone and Ruthless Stagger collided approaching the winning post.

Charcoal Ash was quick to begin.  Master Spike and Dreaming Annie collided soon after the start.  Mantra Lass, Burnsy's Gypsy, Dreaming Annie and Dinky Sab collided on the first turn checking Dreaming Annie, Dinky Sab, Brooklyn Snow and Master Spike.  Brooklyn Snow was checked off Dreaming Annie approaching the home turn.  Charcoal Ash cramped in the home straight and lost considerable ground.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Hill the trainer of the greyhound Charcoal Ash.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. D. Halas regarding his failure to engage a catcher for his greyhound Dinky Sab.  Stewards reminded Mr. Halas of his responsibilities.
