The start of this event was delayed by 6 minutes.
Shake 'Em Up and Bojack were slow to begin. Suspicious Cal was very slow to begin (3 L). Hillbilly Em and Clovalley Dolly collided soon after the start. Hillbilly Em and Shake 'Em Up collided on the first turn, checking Hillbilly Em. Clovalley Dolly and Lektra Oscar collided on the first turn, checking Clovalley Dolly, Sisco Gillie and Bojack, and severely checking Nevada Triangle, which fell as a result. Bojack and Suspicious Cal raced wide on the home turn and in the straight.
Nevada Triangle was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right stopper and left hind medial thigh, a three day stand down period was imposed.
