The start of this race was delayed by approximately one and a half minute's to hold for an international gallops event.
Bad Moon Rising and Blurton were slow to begin. Runaway Ellie and Stumble collided soon after the start. Stumble, Sharni Rose, Black Tikka and Barellen Romance collided soon after the start. Black Tikka crossed to the outside approaching the 250 metre mark checking Another Man. Sharni Rose and Black Tikka collided at the 200 metre mark. Runaway Ellie checked off Sharni Rose at the 150 metre mark. Bad Moon Rising and Barellen Romance collided approaching the winning post.
Bad Moon Rising was vetted following event 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a skin laceration to its right front leg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
