Paper Planes was a late scratching at 11:49am due to non-arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. D. Petersen was fined the sum of $100.

Why Not Franklin was slow to begin.  Watsargo, Sun Power, Berri Lass and Alfred Benz collided soon after the start checking Sun Power and Berri Lass.  Why Not Franklin and Sun Power collided soon after the start.  Why Not Franklin checked off Sun Power at the 200 metre mark. 

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Chiu, the trainer of the greyhound Sun Power regarding the greyhound's box manners.

A sample was taken from Major Gold, the winner of the event.

Text Me Tony and Final Deception were slow to begin.  Buy Me, Major Dollar and Aston Bolero collided soon after the start checking Buy Me and Major Dollar.  Major Dollar checked off Aston Bolero soon after the start checking Final Deception.  Buy Me checked off Aston Bolero at the 200 metre mark.  Major Dollar checked off Patchie Anchor at the 150 metre mark.

Mr. K. Ward, trainer of Blurton redeclared a new weight of 34.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Blurton last raced at 32.4kgs.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately one and a half minute's to hold for an international gallops event. 

Bad Moon Rising and Blurton were slow to begin.  Runaway Ellie and Stumble collided soon after the start.  Stumble, Sharni Rose, Black Tikka and Barellen Romance collided soon after the start.  Black Tikka crossed to the outside approaching the 250 metre mark checking Another Man.  Sharni Rose and Black Tikka collided at the 200 metre mark.  Runaway Ellie checked off Sharni Rose at the 150 metre mark.  Bad Moon Rising and Barellen Romance collided approaching the winning post.

Bad Moon Rising was vetted following event 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a skin laceration to its right front leg.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Enry's Surprize and Admiral Bay were slow to begin.  Admiral Bay and Crystal Sapphire collided soon after the start.  Chili Delight and Lektra Kirky collided soon after the start.  Enry's Surprize and Admiral Bay collided soon after the start.  Enry's Surprize, Admiral Bay and Crystal Sapphire collided at the 250 metre mark.  Enry's Surprize and Admiral Bay collided several times from the 200 metre mark to the 150 metre mark checking both greyhounds.  Chili Delight checked off Madam Model at the 150 metre mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Simone, trainer of Lektra Luther, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Lektra Luther last raced on 30th March, 2015. Mr. Simone stated that Lektra Luther is returning to racing after overcoming a metacarpal injury. 

Stewards also spoke to Ms. P. Triaca, trainer of Vinny Kreuger, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vinny Kreuger last raced on 7th March, 2015. Ms. Triaca stated that Vinny Kreuger is having it's first start for her today and that she has taken her time with the greyhound in preparation for today's race. 

Lektra Luther was slow to begin.  Rangatang and Paranoia collided soon after the start.  Specify and Yeah Whatever collided soon after the start checking Yeah Whatever.  Lektra Luther and Yeah Whatever collided at the 250 metre mark checking Rangatang.  Lektra Luther and Yeah Whatever collided at the 200 metre mark.  Yeah Whatever and Rangatang collided at the 150 metre mark.

Vinny Kreuger was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. P. Triaca regarding the performance of Vinny Kreuger in today's event. Ms. Triaca stated that it was her intention to retire the greyhound from racing. Stewards issued a warning with regards to Vinny Kreuger's overall performance. 

Breathing Fire was slow to begin.  Brazen Bull, Hala Belle, Betty Baker, Eye Smith and Grand Legacy collided soon after the start checking Hala Belle, Betty Baker and Eye Smith.  Grand Legacy and Ready Jet Go collided at the 300 metre mark.  Brazen Bull and Hala Belle collided at the 300 metre mark checking Brazen Bull, Hala Belle, Betty Baker and Eye Smith.  Brazen Bull checked off Breathing Fire approaching the 200 metre mark.

Eye Smith was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right front toe.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Hugh Made Who and Eumeralla Donny were slow to begin.  Hugh Made Who and Zelemar Zonk collided soon after the start.  Hugh Made Who and Chantilly Magic collided at the 250 metre mark.  Damn Nuisance checked off Eumeralla Donny at the 250 metre mark.  Baaluk checked off Eumeralla Donny approaching the 150 metre mark.  Baaluk checked off Mott Haven at the 50 metre mark.  Baaluk and See Him Go collided approaching the winning post.  Hugh Made Who, Baaluk and See Him Go collided at the winning post.

Zelemar Zonk was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right quadriceps and lower back.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Eumeralla Donny, the winner of the event.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Dr. Don and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:32am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. W. McMahon was fined the sum of $100.

Soldier Spy and Ronray Spirit collided soon after the start.  Cosmic Angel and Encee Eye Gibbs collided soon after the start and again at the 250 metre mark checking both greyhounds.  Nockabout Aussie was held up for a run at the 50 metre mark.

Ronray Spirit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Reid, trainer of Ronray Spirit regarding the greyhounds overall performance in today's event. Mr. Reid stated that it was Ronray Spirit's first run in three weeks and in his opinion, the greyhound would be further improved by today's race. Stewards noted his comments and took no further action. 

A sample was taken from Soldier Spy, the winner of the event.

Zoltina's Legacy was slow to begin.  Assertive Seer and Infinite Senor collided soon after the start.  Zoltina's Legacy, Dr. Dawn and Diligent Miss collided at the 200 metre mark.  Infinite Senor checked off Assertive Seer at the 200 metre mark.  Dr. Dawn and Diligent Miss collided at the 150 metre mark.  Dr. Dawn checked off Diligent Miss approaching the winning post.

Dr. Peter was slow to begin.  Suave Odessa and Big Volt collided soon after the start.  Lachlan Bear crossed to the outside at the 200 metre mark.  Peregrin Stealth checked off Secret Society at the 150 metre mark.  Suave Odessa checked off Big Volt at the 50 metre mark.

Diablo Keroma and El Toro Loco were slow to begin.  Abandon Paradise crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Pure Riddle.  Sillybilly Bling and Avatar Ranger collided soon after the start.  Air Candy checked off Abandon Paradise at the 300 metre mark.  Diablo Keroma checked off El Toro Loco at the 250 metre mark.  Diablo Keroma checked off Abandon Paradise approaching the 150 metre mark.  Diablo Keroma and Air Candy collided approaching the 150 metre mark.  Air Candy checked off Diablo Keroma at the 100 metre mark.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Abandon Paradise became dislodged soon after the start.

Abandon Paradise was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Scott, handler of Beljay Belle, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Beljay Belle last raced on 17th April, 2015. Mr. Scott stated Beljay Belle is returning to racing after being on season and other minor complications. 

Cullquin Sam and Lumumba were slow to begin.  Make Us Magic, Beljay Belle, Heleray Steele, Lumumba and Unexcuseable collided soon after the start checking Heleray Steele, Beljay Belle, Lumumba and Unexcuseable.  Heleray Steele, Lumumba and Beljay Belle collided at the 250 metre mark checking Beljay Belle which faltered and tailed off as a result.  Heleray Steele checked off Domestic Girl approaching the winning post.

Beljay Belle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
