Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Simone, trainer of Lektra Luther, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Lektra Luther last raced on 30th March, 2015. Mr. Simone stated that Lektra Luther is returning to racing after overcoming a metacarpal injury.
Stewards also spoke to Ms. P. Triaca, trainer of Vinny Kreuger, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vinny Kreuger last raced on 7th March, 2015. Ms. Triaca stated that Vinny Kreuger is having it's first start for her today and that she has taken her time with the greyhound in preparation for today's race.
Lektra Luther was slow to begin. Rangatang and Paranoia collided soon after the start. Specify and Yeah Whatever collided soon after the start checking Yeah Whatever. Lektra Luther and Yeah Whatever collided at the 250 metre mark checking Rangatang. Lektra Luther and Yeah Whatever collided at the 200 metre mark. Yeah Whatever and Rangatang collided at the 150 metre mark.
Vinny Kreuger was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms. P. Triaca regarding the performance of Vinny Kreuger in today's event. Ms. Triaca stated that it was her intention to retire the greyhound from racing. Stewards issued a warning with regards to Vinny Kreuger's overall performance.
