Bluehawk Babe was quick to begin. Allen Jeer was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Too Sick and Fleetwood Flint collided soon after the start. Arabella Figg checked off Fleetwood Flint soon after the start. Destini Inferno, Too Sick and Fleetwood Flint collided approaching the first turn, checking Too Sick, Arabella Figg and Allen Jeer. Arabella Figg and Allen Jeer raced wide as a result. Allen Lockart and Too Sick collided on the first turn, checking Too Sick. Allen Lockartm Destini Inferno, Too Sick and Fleetwood Flint collided approaching the second turn, checking Too Sick and Fleetwood Flint, and severely checking Destini Inferno. Allen Jeer crossed to the rail on the second turn, checking Arabella Figg. Allen Lockart cramped in the back straight and tailed off as a result. Allen Jeer checked off Too Sick approaching the home turn. Destini Inferno raced wide on the home turn. Roll 'Em Mighty checked off Bluehawk Babe in the home straight. Arabella Figg checked off Allen Jeer in the home straight. Arabella Figg and Allen Jeer collided approaching the winning post.
Allen Lockart was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound was severely dehydrated and sustained a suspected cramp. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Riley, the representative of the greyhound Allen Lockart. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
