Stewards spoke to Mr S.Divers, Representative of Son Of Shirl with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Son Of Shirl last raced on 20 April 2015. Mr Divers stated that Son Of Shirl is returning to racing after suffering a shoulder injury.  Stewards noted Mr Divers' comments.

Kraken Mac and Red Hot Bella were quick to begin.  Son Of Shirl was slow to begin.  Find And Destroy checked off Shezza's Nitro soon after the start.  Hy Guard and All Inn Tops collided approaching the first turn checking Inspector Bush, Son Of Shirl and Hy Guard.  Kraken Mac and Shezza's Nitro collided on the first turn checking All Inn Tops, severely checking Inspector Bush and Find And Destroy.  Kraken Mac faltered on the home turn.  Son Of Shirl checked off Hy Guard in the home straight.

Kraken Mac was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right metacarpal, no stand down period was imposed.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr K. Eyles, Trainer of Kraken Mac, regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.

Inspector Bush was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to both metacarpals, no sand down period was imposed.

Find And Destroy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

 Barlinnie Boy and Princess Jasmine were slow to begin.  Big Bold Boomer and Lucy Boots collided approaching the first turn checking Big Bold Boomer.  Red Hot Summer and Princess Jasmine collided on the first turn checking Princess Jasmine.  Lucy Boots, Shimmer Tank and Hamilton collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Barlinnie Boy and Big Bold Boomer collided several times from the first turn to the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds.

Georgie Best was a late scratching by order of the stewards at 6:05pm due to the greyhound not being able to be correctly identified.

Mr S. Divers, Trainer of Reign To Excel redeclared a new weight of 35.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Reign To Excel last raced at 34.1kg.

Mr S. Waycott, Trainer of Moyarra Operari redeclared a new weight of 29.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Moyarra Operari last raced at 27.7kg.

Reign to Excel was slow to begin.  Two Teams Umpire, Chief Mingo and Just Jatt collided soon after the start checking Two Teams Umpire.  All Inn Ready and Two Teams Umpire collided several times on the first turn.  Chief Mingo checked off Moyarra Operari on the first turn checking Reign To Excel, severely checking Another Bus Trip.  All Inn Ready and Another Bus Trip collided approaching the home turn.  Chief Mingo and Reign To Excel collided in the home straight.

Spur Tron was a late scratching at 7.53pm by Order Of Stewards due to the consecutive day rule ( LRR.29.2 )

Cosmic Bull was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Zipping Meg and Paper Planes collided soon after the start.  Nice Nurse Frank, Zipping Meg and Paper Planes collided approaching the first turn checking Paper Planes.  Nice Nurse Frank and Zipping Meg collided on the first turn checking Nice Nurse Frank.  Cosmic Bull galloped on the heels of Paper Planes approaching the home turn.  Zipping Laura raced wide on the home turn. 

Sonny's Tas was quick to begin.  Fury Bale, Spanky's Legacy, Be Two Bomber and Splash Mountain collided soon after the start checking Spanky's Legacy and Be Two Bomber.  Ikari Spark, Zipping Nelson and Ima Misha Doll collided on the first turn checking Zipping Nelson, Ima Misha Doll and Splash Mountain.  Zipping Nelson, Splash Mountain and Be Two Bomber collided approaching the home turn checking Splash Mountain.  Be Two Bomber and Ima Misha Doll collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Ringer was slow to begin.  Soul Dancer and Optimus Bart collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Soul Dancer, which contacted the running rail.  Tricky Mover, Zipping Maggie, Optimus Bart, Seeking Justice, Shanlyn Lucy and Ringer collided on the first turn checking Tricky Mover, Zipping Maggie, Soul Dancer, Optimus Bart and Shanlyn Lucy.  Seeking Justice and Ringer collided approaching the second turn.  Zipping Maggie was held up for a run and checked off Tricky Mover on the home turn.  Seeking Justice and Ringer collided approaching the home turn.  Optimus Bart and Ringer collided on the home turn.

Irish Down Under and Soda Man were quick to begin.  To The Galo's was slow to begin.  Grand Legacy and Lollie Livewire collided soon after the start.  To The Galo's and Grand Legacy collided approaching the first turn checking Grand Legacy, severely checking Lollie Livewire.  Grand Legacy and Blingtastic collided on the first turn.  To The Galo's checked off Tat Jocko on the first turn.  Grand Legacy eased on the first turn.

Grand Legacy was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 11.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hind lameness and a laceration to the medial tibia. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Mr P. Dapiran, trainer of Grand Legacy regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.

Allen Malik, Morello, Living Waters and Jenkins Bale collided soon after the start checking Allen Malik, Morello and Living Waters.  Ennis Bale and Roman Baroque collided approaching the first turn.  Jenkins Bale and Motangi collided approaching the first turn.  Morello and Living Waters collided approaching the first turn checking Living Waters.  Motangi checked off Jenkins Bale on the first turn.  Morello, Motangi, Ennis Bale and Roman Baroque collided on the home turn checking Morello.  Allen Malik and Motangi collided in the home straight.  Ennis Bale and Roman Baroque collided in the home straight.

Proven Crown was slow to begin.  Zipping Izzy and Finchy collided soon after the start checking Zipping Izzy.  King's Delight, Tat Molly, Ido Voodoo and Magic Buddie collided soon after the start checking King's Delight, severely checking Tat Molly.  King's Delight checked off Proven Crown approaching the first turn.  Zipping Morgan and Magic Buddie collided on the first turn checking Proven Crown and Magic Buddie.  Proven Crown and Zipping Morgan raced wide in the home straight.

King's Delight was vetted following Race 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained superficial grazes to the right hind metatarsal and spike wounds to the right hind toes, no stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr D. Peterson, Representative of King's Delight.  Stewards deemed the performance of King's Delight unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that King's Delight must perform a Satisfactory Trial, All Tracks, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr M. Ellis, Trainer of Vee Bee Elle redeclared a new weight of  30.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Vee Bee Elle last raced at 28.8kg.

Silver Wood and All Inn Together were slow to begin.  Shirley Bass crossed to the rail soon after the start checking All Inn Together and Lady Juar.  Silver Wood and Duff Bale collided on the first turn.  Impressive Levy, Fiery Nell and Vee Bee Elle collided on the first turn checking Duff Bale, severely checking Vee Bee Elle which tailed off as a result.  Lady Juar checked off Vee Bee Elle approaching the home turn.

Vee Bee Elle was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind muscle strain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Manelito was slow to begin.  Contemplate checked off Fancy Assassin soon after the start.  Who Told Blackie checked off Ravager Bale approaching the first turn.

Contemplate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hind digit toe and grazes to the left hind fourth digit, no stand down period was imposed.

Mr M. Ellis, Trainer of Me Name's Nelson redeclared a new weight of 31.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Me Name's Nelson last raced at 30.2kg.

Cosmic Ketut was quick to begin.  Son Of Sassi and Jodie's Knee collided soon after the start checking Son Of Sassi.  Bastet Bale, Me Name's Nelson and Stagger Express collided soon after the start checking Bastet Bale and Me Name's Nelson.  Son Of Sassi, Bastet Bale and Stagger Express collided on the first turn checking Bastet Bale, severely checking Son Of Sassi.  Stagger Express and Price Tag collided in the home straight.

Chelsea Drogba trialled over the 390m from Box 8,weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.47, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Chelsea Drogba was cleared.
