Miss Promiscuous and Dark Kahn were slow to begin. Breckenridge and Summer Ice collided soon after the start. Dark Khan stumbled at box rise and collided with Pure Chief. Summer Ice and King Benny collided soon after the start. Breckenridge checked off Summer Ice soon after the start. King Benny, Go Deonnie and Summer Ice collided at the 275m mark, checking Miss Promiscuous, Summer Ice and King Benny. Pure Chief and Fuel Pump collided at the 250m mark. Breckenridge and Pure Chief collided at the 240m mark. Pure Chief raced wide from the 200m mark to the 100m mark. Go Deonnie, King Benny and Fuel Pump collided approaching the winning post.
