Lars Boy was a late scratching at 11:42am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to its right front foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jack Of Meade and Why Not Lyn were slow to begin.  Why Not Josie and Why Not Lyn collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Why Not Lyn and Spazzy Blue.  Spazzy Blue brushed the running rail on the home turn.  Why Not Josie raced wide in the home straight.

Grand Maximus was quick to begin.  Diamond Delight was slow to begin.  Tucky's Daughter and Canary collided soon after the start.  Purple Butterfly, Santana and Tucky's Daughter collided approaching the first turn.  Canary crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Tucky's Daughter, Santana and Purple Butterfly.  Woodleigh Blue galloped on the heels of Santana on the third turn checking Santana, Woodleigh Blue and Diamond Delight.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Purple Butterfly, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Drohan, the trainer of Just Wing It regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Just Wing It last raced on 1st June 2016 and is returning to race after having water diabetes.

A pre-race sample was taken from Roman Blue Jay.

Magic Rusty was quick to begin.  Roman Blye Jay was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Just Wing It galloped on the heels of Miss Who approaching the first turn checking Roman Blue Jay and White Escargot and severely checking Just Wing It, Miss Who, Bless 'Em All and Glen Mika.  Roman Blue Jay and Bless 'Em All collided in the home straight.

Roman Blue Jay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to its right front pad.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Gats Pacino, Dodge Ball and Spy Miss were slow to begin.  Tai Chi Mini crossed to the rail soon after the start.  Jazzy Fizzle and Oppi Bale collided soon after the start checking Jazzy Fizzle.  Dodge Ball clipped the heels of Spy Miss on the first turn checking Spy Miss and causing Dodge Ball to fall.  Mendacious Lad checked off Oppi Bale on the home turn.  Oppi Bale and Loader collided on the home turn checking Loader.  Gats Pacino and Spy Miss collided on the home turn.  Mendacious Lad and Spy Miss collided entering the home straight checking Mendacious Lad.

Dodge Ball was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Batten, the trainer of Dodge Ball and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding his use of inappropriate language at the starting boxes, pursuant to GAR 86(q).

There's Steamy and Lay Down Sally collided soon after the start.  Lay Down Sally, Majestic Seine and Miranlou collided on the first turn checking Majestic Seine.  Lay Down Sally and Miranlou collided on the second turn.  Lay Down Sally checked off Miranlou on the third turn.

Kokoda Storm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to its left hind foot.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Ashtastic was quick to begin.  Jupiter Jones and It's Debatable were slow to begin.  Sisco Blast, Van Damm, Kingston Earl and Jupiter Jones collided approaching the first turn checking Sisco Blast.  Ecnal and It's Debatable collided approaching the first turn checking It's Debatable which raced wide as a result.  Jupiter Jones checked off Ecnal on the first turn.  Van Damm checked off Jupiter Jones approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.

Oh Lele Simon and Angelic Hand were slow to begin.  Sliver, Purple Hand and Wolfie's Lass collided soon after the start checking Purple Hand.  Sliver checked off Wolfie's Lass approaching the first turn checking Oh Lele Simon.  Sliver checked off Sisco Mama on the first turn.  Angelic Hand checked off Purple Hand entering the home straight.

A sample was taken from Who's My Daddy, the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Alister, the representative of Dromore's Opal regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dromore's Opal last raced on 23rd June 2016 and is returning to race from a seasonal spell.

Roadrunner Thief was slow to begin.  Walk Woody Walk, Under Taker and Roadrunner Thief collided soon after the start checking Under Taker.  Walk Woody Walk and Stroke Of Genius collided several times from approaching the home turn to entering the home straight.  Walk Woody Walk and Stroke Of Genius collided in the home straight checking Walk Woody Walk.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. S. Blakely-Drohan regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Under Taker.  Stewards directed that Under Taker be boxed first in future events.

A sample was taken from Explosive Sky, the winner of the event.

Gardot and Zou Zou Nee were quick to begin.  Mr. Banks, Cosmic Conqueror and Let's Go Billy were slow to begin.  Tahnee Dream and Creative Hit collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Cosmic Conqueror and Let's Go Billy collided approaching the home turn checking Let's Go Billy and Creative Hit.  Mr. Banks and Snowy Hunt collided in the home straight.

Cosmic Conqueror was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both shoulders and a left hind lost nail.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Snaphook Sticka was slow to begin.  Dulcet Sound, Hip Hop Emmy and Cash Ownley collided approaching the first turn checking Hip Hop Emmy.  Snaphook Sticka galloped on the heels of Dulcet Sound on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Cool Sam faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result.  Phil Miyoot checked off Better Beware approaching the first turn.  Phil Miyoot and Buckle Up Omnin collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Omnin.  Better Beware and Oxygen Bandit collided approaching the home turn.  Phil Miyoot raced wide approaching the home turn checking Buckle Up Omnin.  Star Lord and Better Beware collided on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide; Phil Miyoot was checked as a result.

Cool Sam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Emily's Kitty, the winner of the event.

Mr. T.  Whitford, trainer of Zero Whispers declared a new weight of 27.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Zero Whispers last raced at 25.9kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Levenseat Bevan.

Levenseat Bevan went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Begin Again was slow to begin.  Simply Mystic, Pep Cee Kola and Zero Whispers collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.
