Lars Boy was a late scratching at 11:42am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to its right front foot. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jack Of Meade and Why Not Lyn were slow to begin. Why Not Josie and Why Not Lyn collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Why Not Lyn and Spazzy Blue. Spazzy Blue brushed the running rail on the home turn. Why Not Josie raced wide in the home straight.
