Jasocate was quick to begin.  Wild Angel and Tweedle Dumb were slow to begin.   Say Nothing and Half Moon Rising collided on the first turn checking Tweedle Dumb and Say Nothing.  Dodge Ball, Dr. Gammiris and Half Moon Rising collided in the back straight.  Dr. Gammiris was checked off Half Moon Rising in the back straight.  Dr. Gammiris and Tweedle Dumb collided on the second turn causing Tweedle Dumb to race wide checking Dr. Gammiris as a result.  Magnificent Pete and Wild Angel collided on the second turn.

Dr. Oliver and Jett Zafonic collided soon after the start.  Jett Zafonic and Walk Woody Walk collided soon after the start.  Dr. Oliver was checked off Fawn Mantra approaching the first turn.  Fawn Mantra and Paua Hiking collided several times from the first turn to the second turn checking Fawn Mantra.  Paua Hiking was checked off Dr. Oliver in the back straight.  Fawn Mantra and Jett Zafonic collided on the home turn.  Jett Zafonic failed to pursue the lure in the home straight and collided with Fawn Mantra.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McMahon the trainer of the greyhound Jett Zafonic regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Jett Zafonic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hock, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Jett Zafonic with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mrs. McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Jett Zafonic was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Diamond was slow to begin.  Rusty Sidebottom and Galloping Fantom collided soon after the start and again approching the first turn.  Dr. Illuminate and Diamond collided on the first turn.  Rusty Sidebottom and Galloping Fantom collided on the first turn.  Emily As and Diamond collided in the back straight.  Irish Mobster and Dr. Illuminate collided on the third turn.  Irish Mobster and Diamond collided on the home turn.  Sir Richard and Dr. Illuminate collided several times in the home straight.

Elswyk Max was quick to begin.  Eumeralla Donny and Eduardo Rose were slow to begin.  Lakeview Miss crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Elswyk Max and Moore Of Darcy, severley checking Kiss My Fuji, Moore Of Darcy, Eduardo Rose and Dr. Bodacious and checking Eumeralla Donny and Milla Rose, Kiss My Fuji stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.

Kiss My Fuji was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Space Emm was quick to begin.  Daintree King was slow to begin.  Rozehill Beth crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Rozehill Beth and Tilly Court.  Tilly Court and Rozehill Beth collided approaching the second turn.  Corless and Albert's Patch collided entering the home straight.  Daintree King and Space Emm collided approaching the winning post.

Rozehill Beth was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was obtained from Dessie Walnut upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.

Dr. Toretto was a late scratching at 4.55pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. W. McMahon was fined the sum of $100.
