Blue Kade and Aston Levi were slow to begin.  Dyna Alk and Uncle Pandora collided soon after the start.  Dyna Yatul and Dyna Alk collided approaching the first turn.  Optima Semper and Blue Kade collided approaching the first turn checking Optima Semper.  Dyna Yatul, Aston Levi, Oshkosh Gypsy and Blue Kade collided on the first turn checking Dyna Yatul and severely checking Aston Levi and Blue Kade; Blue Kade stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Oshkosh Gypsy and Dyna Yatul collided on the second turn.

Optima Semper was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event , it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle muscle.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. P. Borradale, the trainer of Optima Semper regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.

Blue Kade was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left hamstring and left triangle muscles.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Proven Joey upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Oshkosh Haloumi was a late scratching at 11:52am on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an infected laceration to its right quadriceps.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Whisper Troy, Shima Bar and Fay Courage were slow to begin.  Fay Courage and Dyna Calder collided soon after the start.  Shima Bar and Proven Joey collided on the first turn checking Proven Joey and Precious Destini.  Dyna Calder raced wide on the first turn and again approaching the second turn.  Proven Joey checked off Precious Destini approaching the second turn.  Precious Destini crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Whisper Troy.

Proven Les was very slow to begin (10 lengths).  Queen Rachel was slow to begin.  Queen Rachel and Dyna Arachni collided soon after the start.  Jacey Allen checked off Schnapskey soon after the start.  Jacey Allen and Queen Rachel collided approaching the first turn.  Jacey Allen and Dyna Arachni collided on the first turn.  Schnapskey checked off Blue Skittle on the first turn.  Jacey Allen and Dyna Arachni collided several times from the third turn to approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Schnapskey and Queen Quick collided entering the home straight.

Brodie Keeping was slow to begin.  Brodie Keeping and Dyna Hadvar collided soon after the start.  Saint Fox and Pan Yoko collided soon after the start. Golden Planet and Saint Fox collided approaching the first turn.  Molly's Entity, Dakini Allen, Golden Planet, Pan Yoko and Dyna Hadvar collided on the first turn checking Saint Fox, Dyna Hadvar and Brodie Keeping; Brodie Keeping raced wide as a result.  Dyna Hadvar and Pan Yoko collided approaching the second turn checking Saint Fox.  Molly's Entity and Dakini Allen collided on the second turn.  Golden Planet checked off Pan Yoko on the second turn checking Brodie Keeping.  Golden Planet and Brodie Keeping collided entering the back straight checking Golden Planet.  Molly's Entity eased in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Azzopardi, the trainer of the greyhound Molly's Entity regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Molly's Entity was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B) the stewards charged Molly's Entity with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge.  Molly's Entity was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Shep was slow to begin.  Dark Vader, Shep and Allen Eamon collided soon after the start checking Shep.  Unika Allen and Shellington collided approaching the first turn.  Tapping Tears and Shellington collided on the first turn checking Tapping Tears.  Shep and Dark Vader collided approaching the second turn checking Dark Vader.  Taabinga Flash and Allen Eamon collided on the third turn checking Allen Eamon.  Unika Allen checked off Shep approaching the home turn and collided with Allen Eamon.  Allen Eamon checked off Unika Allen approaching the home turn.  Taabinga Flash and Shellington collided on the home turn.

Allen Eamon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
