Steward's Report
Blue Kade and Aston Levi were slow to begin. Dyna Alk and Uncle Pandora collided soon after the start. Dyna Yatul and Dyna Alk collided approaching the first turn. Optima Semper and Blue Kade collided approaching the first turn checking Optima Semper. Dyna Yatul, Aston Levi, Oshkosh Gypsy and Blue Kade collided on the first turn checking Dyna Yatul and severely checking Aston Levi and Blue Kade; Blue Kade stumbled and lost ground as a result. Oshkosh Gypsy and Dyna Yatul collided on the second turn.
Optima Semper was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event , it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. P. Borradale, the trainer of Optima Semper regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.
Blue Kade was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left hamstring and left triangle muscles. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
