Fulton, the trainer of Missy's Creek regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Missy's Creek last raced on 2nd June, 2016.  Mr. Fulton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell.  Mr. Fulton also declared a new weight of 31.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Missy's Creek last raced at 29.9kgs.

Kokoda Storm and Dortmunder collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Drafted and Proven May collided approaching the winning post.

Hotlips Matilda was quick to begin.  Baron Charlie was slow to begin.  Monaleen Monty and Hotlips Matilda collided soon after the start.  Pay The Boo, Liquid Diamond and Sisco Blast collided approaching the first turn checking Liquid Diamond.  Sisco Blast checked off Monaleen Monty on the first turn.  Quick Return eased in the home straight and collided with Pay The Boo.  Quick Return and Southwood Max collided in the home straight.

Azzopardi, the trainer of the greyhound Quick Return regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Quick Return was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), Stewards charged Quick Return with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Azzopardi pleaded guilty to the charge.  Quick Return was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tophat And Tails and Lemon Patchwork were quick to begin.  Initial Factor went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Yorgi Blues, Cairnlea Red, Destini Seahorse and Bashir collided on the first turn checking Cairnlea Red and Destini Seahorse.  Yorgi Blues galloped on the heels of Majestic Seine entering the back straight severely checking Majestic Seine.  Lemon Patchwork and Yorgi Blues collided on the home turn checking Lemon Patchwork which contacted the running rail as a result.

Dodge The Cop was quick to begin.  Xan Mai crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Snake Woman, Dodge The Cop, Pete's Timey and Oscar and severely checking Silver Rockstar and Prison Cells; Golden Blaze fell as a result.

Golden Blaze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right back muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Trial 1 - 390m

Jack Alouette trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 27.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.59.  The greyhound won by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Jack Alouette was cleared.

Trial 2 - 390m 

Kibosh trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 31.5kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.31.  The greyhound won by a margin of 9.5 lengths.  Kibosh was cleared. 

Trial 3 - 390m

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Inguanti, the trainer of Summertron regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Summertron last raced on 3rd March 2016.  Mr. Inguanti stated that the greyhound was returning to race after a right achillies injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Summertron trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 34.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.85.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.75 lengths.  Summertron was cleared.

Solar Rapid trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 3, weight 33.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.85.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Solar Rapid was cleared. 

Native Son trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 34.2kgs.  The greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.85.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.25 lengths.  Native Son was cleared.
