Steward's Report
Dusty Leads and Mayfair Miss collided soon after the start. Little Nova crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Ziggy Cruel, Nanny's Poppy and Parto's Pin. Belron Del and Ziggy Cruel collided at the 300m mark. Belron Del checked off Little Nova at the 150m mark. Dusty Leads eased approaching the 50m mark, checking Belron Del.
Dusty Leads was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 4, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Condon, the trainer of the greyhound Dusty Leads regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 100m mark. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dusty Leads with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Condon pleaded guilty to the charge, Dusty Leads was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
