Notorious One was quick to begin. Star Deli and Barani were slow to begin. Star Deli checked off Urana Laurie approaching the first turn. Urana Laurie and Sugar Roselee collided on the first turn, checking Sugar Roselee. Barani clipped the heels of Sugar Roselee approaching the home turn and stumbled. Star Deli checked off Sugar Roselee approaching the home turn. Crump's Hussler checked off Lebron Slam on the home turn. Crump's Hussler and Lebron Slam collided entering the home straight. Sugar Roselee failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight, and again in the home straight. Star Deli checked off Sugar Roselee in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Forbes, the trainer of the greyhound Sugar Roselee regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight and in the home straight. Sugar Roselee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sugar Roselee with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Forbes pleaded guilty to the charge, Sugar Roselee was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
