Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Brazen Blue.
Captain Pete was slow to begin. Violet Blue and Samba King collided soon after the start checking Violet Blue. Kraken Zuri and Brazen Blue collided approaching the first turn. Brazen Blue contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Violet Blue. Samba King checked off Aston Ah Chee in the home straight. Half Moon Rising and Aston Ah Chee collided in the home straight.
Brazen Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind toe, and injuries to the right elbow, left monkey muscle and right pencil muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
