Steward's Report
R Haynes, handler of Roma Girl declared a new weight of 26.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Roma Girl last raced at 27.8kgs.
Da Mishka and Emily's Kitty were slow to begin. Connie Bale galloped on the heels of Foot Candy approaching the first turn, checking Foot Candy. Missy Miss, Da Mishka and Emily's Kitty collided on the first turn, checking Missy Miss and Da Mishka. Connie Bale and Foot Candy collided on the first turn, checking Foot Candy and Emily's Kitty. Missy Miss checked off Da Mishka approaching the home turn. Da Mishka checked off Foot Candy approaching the home turn. Da Mishka veered out entering the home straight and marred Foot Candy, severely checking Foot Candy and Missy Miss.
Foot Candy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to T Alister, the trainer of the greyhound Da Mishka regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Da Mishka with marring. T Alister pleaded guilty to the charge, Da Mishka was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to T Alister, the trainer of Lisburn Gem regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Lisburn Gem last raced on 13 February 2016. T Alister stated that the greyhound was returning from injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Lisburn Gem trialled over the 311m from box 1, weight 29.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.06, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of a half length. Lisburn Gem was cleared.
