Stewards spoke to the representitive of the greyhound Mecha Bale, Ms. K Jordan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Ms. Jordan stated the greyhound had been recovering from a cracked sesamoid.
Cosmic Coad and Hallibel Bale were quick to begin. Andrej's was slow to begin. Cosmic Medusa, Electro Bale, Cosmic Coad and Hallibel Bale collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Coad and Hallibel Bale. Heaps Of Boloney and Mecha Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Mecha Bale. Cosmic Coad, Hallibel Bale and Andrej's collided approaching the home turn severely checking Cosmic Coad which stumbled as a result. Cosmic Coad and Mecha Bale collided in the home straight.
