Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Whitney, handler of Good Odds Demon, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Good Odds Demon last raced on 23rd December, 2014. Mr. Whitney stated that Good Odds Demon is returning to racing after recovering from a right wrist injury.
Mr. S. Whitney, trainer of Good Odds Demon redeclared a new weight of 28.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Good Odds Demon last raced at 27.6kgs.
Greysynd Emma and Hanging In There collided soon after the start. Call Me Gee and Serco Bale collided soon after the start. Pepper Fozz and Hanging In There collided on the first turn checking Hanging In There and Punk Star Lass. Punk Star Lass checked off Serco Bale on the third turn. Hanging In There eased on the third turn. Pepper Fozz and Punk Star Lass collided on the home turn checking Punk Star Lass.
Hanging In There was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Mr. R. Camilleri, the handler of the greyhound, declined a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Camilleri, the handler of the greyhound Hanging In There regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Hanging In There with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge. Hanging In There was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
