Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Womann, trainer of Ester Bale, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Ester Bale last raced on 19th April, 2015. Ms. Womann stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after recovering from a broken front toe and split webbing.
Samus Allen was quick to begin. Galahad and Fatboy Norm collided approaching the first turn. Classic Nitro and Ester Bale collided approaching the first turn. Gunmetal Rebel, Dark Jameson and Hercules Bale collided on the first turn checking Dark Jameson and Hercules Bale. Gunmetal Rebel and Hercules Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Hercules Bale. Galahad, Fatboy Norm and Hercules Bale collided entering the back straight checking Dark Jameson and severely checking Fatboy Norm which fell as a result.
Fatboy Norm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
