Ryan Brook and Rogernator were slow to begin.  What You Say and Nitro Power collided approaching the first turn.  Allen Jersey and Semjase collided approaching the first turn.  Flying Opal, What You Say and Nitro Power collided approaching the first turn.  Ryan Brook checked off Semjase on the first turn. Rogernator and Flying Opal collided on the first turn checking Flying Opal, What You Say, Nitro Power and Chivalry.  What You Say and Nitro Power collided in the front straight.  Nitro Power crossed to the rail approaching the second turn checking What You Say and Semjase.  What You Say and Nitro Power collided on the second turn.  Flying Opal, What You Say, Allen Jersey and Semjase collided approaching the home turn checking Flying Opal. Flying Opal and Nitro Power collided on the home turn.  What You Say and Chivalry collided on the home turn.

Bullboar was slow to begin.  Rimpac and Maris Gold collided soon after the start.  George Mist, Allen Mambo and West On Xandi collided soon after the start. Black Jaymar, George Mist and Allen Mambo collided approaching the first turn checking Black Jaymar and George Mist.  Bullboar and Rimpac collided approaching the first turn.  George Mist, Bullboar, Rimpac and Maris Gold collided on the first turn checking Bullboar, Rimpac and Black Jaymar.  Rimpac checked off Maris Gold on the first turn checking Bullboar.  George Mist and Maris Gold collided approaching the second turn checking George Mist, Rimpac and Maris Gold; Maris Gold stumbled as a result.  Bullboar and Maris Gold collided entering the back straight.   Who Told Red checked off Allen Mambo in the back straight.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. K. Lloyd, handler of the greyhound George Mist regarding the greyhound's box manners.

A sample was taken from West On Xandi, the winner of the event. 

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Sweet Chilly and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11.34AM due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms. T. Turnbull was fined the sum of $100. 

Dublin Bull and Jolly Beggarman were slow to begin.  Jolly Beggarman and Indi Allen collided soon after the start.  Jolly Beggarman and Magic Max collided on the first turn checking Jolly Beggarman.  We're Hopeful and Indi Allen collided on first turn checking Jolly Beggarman.  We're Hopeful and Indi Allen collided in the front straight.

Jolly Beggarman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left wrist and left triangle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Makaman was quick to begin.  Miss Tricky and Road To Vegas were slow to begin and collided soon after start.  Annabow crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Heard It Before, Miss Tricky, Road To Vegas and Vasile Boy.  Miss Tricky, Road To Vegas and Annabow collided on the first turn checking Miss Tricky and Annabow.  Heard It Before and College Graduate collided on the first turn.  Heard It Before checked off Road To Vegas on the third turn. Makaman and Morning Cruise collided on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Baker, trainer of the greyhound Annabow and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding his tardiness in boxing the greyhound.

Miss Tricky was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right calf.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Jordy Shiack and American Muscle collided soon after the start.  Punch It and Hilltop Senorita collided soon after the start.  Trail Blazing crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Galactic Viper.  Galactic Viper and Grace Monica collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Governor Bale, Trail Blazing, Jordy Shiack, American Muscle and Punch It collided on the first turn checking Jordy Shiack, American Muscle, Hilltop Senorita and Grace Monica.  Governor Bale and Trail Blazing collided on the first turn.  Jordy Schiack and Hilltop Senorita collided approaching the second turn checking Hilltop Senorita and Grace Monica.  American Muscle checked off Jordy Shiack on the second turn checking Hilltop Senorita.  Galactic Viper, Punch It and Jordy Shiack collided on the third turn.  American Muscle and Punch It collided on the third turn checking American Muscle.  American Muscle and Punch It collided on the home turn.  Punch It clipped the heels of American Muscle in the home straight; Punch It fell and checked Hilltop Senorita as a result.

Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Womann, trainer of Ester Bale, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Ester Bale last raced on 19th April, 2015. Ms. Womann stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after recovering from a broken front toe and split webbing. 

Samus Allen was quick to begin.  Galahad and Fatboy Norm collided approaching the first turn.  Classic Nitro and Ester Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Gunmetal Rebel, Dark Jameson and Hercules Bale collided on the first turn checking Dark Jameson and Hercules Bale.  Gunmetal Rebel and Hercules Bale collided approaching the second turn checking Hercules Bale.  Galahad, Fatboy Norm and Hercules Bale collided entering the back straight checking Dark Jameson and severely checking Fatboy Norm which fell as a result.

Fatboy Norm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Smooth Rebel and Pocket Kings were slow to begin.  Greysynd Phantom, Laredo and Nayla Swift collided approaching the first turn.  Smooth Rebel checked off Laredo approaching the first turn.  Greysynd Phantom, Laredo, Evers Bale and Mepunga Rosie collided on the first turn checking Smooth Rebel and Mepunga Rosie and severely checking Laredo which tailed off as a result.  Greysynd Phantom and Evers Bale collided approaching the second turn. Greysynd Phantom checked off Evers Bale on the third turn.  Evers Bale checked off Nayla Swift entering the home straight.

Laredo was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left wrist.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Smooth Rebel was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Beau Mambo, Rain Stream and City Rambler were slow to begin.  Beau Mambo, Eaton Bale, Bel Air Spice and Sir Charleton collided on the first turn checking Sir Charleton.  Scenic Shot and Benta Bale collided on the first turn.  Beau Mambo, Rain Stream and Eaton Bale collided entering the front straight.  Rain Stream and City Rambler collided on the second turn.  Eaton Bale checked off Bel Air Spice on the fourth turn checking Rain Stream.  Bel Air Spice checked off Beau Mambo approaching the home turn.  Eaton Bale checked off Bel Air Spice on the home turn checking Rain Stream.  Beau Mambo and Sir Charleton collided entering the home straight.

Eaton Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Moonllight Cruise was slow to begin.  El Chana and Creative Karisma collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking El Chana.  Hersi and Cosmic Vee Bee collided on the home turn checking Hersi.  African Storm and Pretty Bale collided on the home turn checking Pretty Bale.

Moonlight Cruise was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

El Chana was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hip.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Anna Rose was a late scratching at 10.59am due to illness (GAR23). A 10 day stand down penalty was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Merlot Magic, Major Crush and Sahara were slow to begin.  Merlot Magic galloped on the heels of Irish Asteria entering the front straight.  Merlot Magic, Irish Asteria and Why Julie collided on the second turn checking Merlot Magic, Sahara and Irish Asteria; Major Crush fell as a result.  Why Julie and Smokey Whispers collided on the third turn.  Merlot Magic checked off Why Julie entering the home straight.

Irish Asteria was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Major Crush was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Reiko Bale was quick to begin.  Flaming Electra was slow to begin.  Schumacher and High Mission collided soon after the start.  Flaming Electra and Smokem Jimmy collided approaching the first turn checking Smokem Jimmy.  Sweet Barbados crossed to the rail on the first turn severely checking Hawka Tron, Flaming Electra, Reiko Bale, Smokem Jimmy, Schumacher and High Mission; Flaming Electra and Schumacher fell and Reiko Bale fell and tailed off as a result.  Smokem Jimmy and High Mission collided entering the home straight.

Flaming Electra was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained fractured metatarsals.  The greyhound was humanely euthanised.

Reiko Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Schumacher was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured radius and ulna.  The greyhound was humanely euthanised.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Whitney, handler of Good Odds Demon, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Good Odds Demon last raced on 23rd December, 2014. Mr. Whitney stated that Good Odds Demon is returning to racing after recovering from a right wrist injury. 

Mr. S. Whitney, trainer of Good Odds Demon redeclared a new weight of 28.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Good Odds Demon last raced at 27.6kgs.

Greysynd Emma and Hanging In There collided soon after the start.  Call Me Gee and Serco Bale collided soon after the start.  Pepper Fozz and Hanging In There collided on the first turn checking Hanging In There and Punk Star Lass.  Punk Star Lass checked off Serco Bale on the third turn.  Hanging In There eased on the third turn.  Pepper Fozz and Punk Star Lass collided on the home turn checking Punk Star Lass.

Hanging In There was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Mr. R. Camilleri, the handler of the greyhound, declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Camilleri, the handler of the greyhound Hanging In There regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Hanging In There with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge. Hanging In There was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
