Steward's Report
J. Borg, trainer of Come On Fantasy redeclared a new weight of 29.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Come On Fantasy last raced at 28.5kg.
Starbright Tara was slow to begin. Dewana Result, Lead Into Demise and Deadly Vane collided soon after the start. Deadly Vane crossed to the rail on the first turn, severely checking Lead Into Demise, Dewana Result, Say Again, Starbright Tara and Lucky Two Lips. Say Again clipped the heels of Lucky Two Lips in the home straight.
Starbright Tara was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to the Parade Steward and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure that all placegetters are scanned prior to the "All Clear" being given to Stewards. The matter was referred to the club manager.
