Maisy Mac and Strongbeth were slow to begin. Hurry Home Cain checked off Barcia Beebee soon after the start. Cosmic Jewels crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Hurry Home Cain and Harvest Gold. Barcia Beebee and Get Me collided approaching the first turn. Kosmik King and Barcia Beebee collided on the first turn, checking Barvia Beebee. Barcia Beebee and Get Me collided approaching the home turn, checking Cosmic Jewels. Harvest Gold checked off Barcia Beebee approaching the home turn. Cosmic Jewels and Barcia Beebee collided on the home turn. Get Me veered out and marred the running of Kosmic King approaching the winning post.
Get Me was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hind paw sandburn. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to V Millington, the trainer of the greyhound Get Me regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Get Me with marring. V Millington pleaded guilty to the charge, Get Me was found guilty and suspended for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.
