Stewards spoke to  J. Thomson, trainer of the greyhound Podium Bound regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced (30 Dec 2014).  Mr Thomson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season and recovering from torn stomach muscles.  He redeclared a new weight of 25.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Podium Bound last raced at 26.3kg.

Liberty Boy was quick to begin.  Eumeralla Magic was slow to begin.  Sparking Jewels and Podium Bound collided soon after the start, checking Sparkling Jewels.  Wet Feet and Sparkling Jewels collided approaching the first turn, checking Wet Feet.  Drysdale Doll and Schooner collided on the first turn, checking Schooner.  Sparkling Jewels checked off Eumeralla Magic approaching the home turn.  Wet Feet raced wide on the home turn.  Podium Bound checked off Liberty Boy in the home straight.

Wet Feet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Wince Allen, Uberto and Hollywood Beam collided soon after the start, checking Uberto.  Uberto and Xavier Bright collided approaching the first turn, checking Xavier Bright.  Hollywood Beam, Arabella Figg and Bartemius Crouch collided on the first turn, checking Arabella Figg and severely checking Bartemius Crouch and Hollywood Beam.  Tanjira checked off Wince Allen in the home straight.

Sillybilly Bling and Midnight Outlaw were slow to begin.  Perrier Bale, Zipping Roachy and Why Not Sue collided soon after the start.  Bally Mo Town crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Perrier Bale and Zipping Roachy.  Sillybilly Bling, Bally Mo Town, Midnight Outlaw and Perrier Bale collided on the first turn, checking Sillybilly Bling and severely checking Bally Mo Town and Midnight Outlaw, causing Midnight Outlaw to fall as a result.  Zipping Roachy and Why Not Sue collided approaching the winning post.

Midnight Outlaw was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Bally Mo Town was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hamstring and right triceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sillybilly Bling was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left deltoid, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Penelopes Cruzn went up with the lids at box rise.  Saint Bale was quick to begin.  Electro Bale and Crymelon Pink collided soon after the start, checking Crymelon Pink.  Igor Karkaroff and Big Bad Bone collided on the first turn.  Igor Karkaroff checked off Electro Bale approaching the home turn.  Jammie Dodger raced wide on the home turn.  Jammie Dodger and Ernie Old collided approaching the winning post.

Dewana Lass, Capullo Bale, In The Flesh, Hetalia Bale and Big Ticket collided soon after the start, checking Capullo Bale and In The Flesh.  Crackerjack Max crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Benzo Bale.  Big Ticket and Crackerjack Max collided approaching the first turn.

Bekim Vapour and Dodgy Dede collided soon after the start, checking Bekim Vapour.  Mahogany Saphire checked off I'll Rob Ya on the first turn.  Jack Winter and Bekim Vapour collided on the home turn, checking Jack Winter.

J. Borg, trainer of Come On Fantasy redeclared a new weight of 29.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Come On Fantasy last raced at 28.5kg.

Starbright Tara was slow to begin.  Dewana Result, Lead Into Demise and Deadly Vane collided soon after the start.  Deadly Vane crossed to the rail on the first turn, severely checking Lead Into Demise, Dewana Result, Say Again, Starbright Tara and Lucky Two Lips.  Say Again clipped the heels of Lucky Two Lips in the home straight.

Starbright Tara was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hamstring, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the Parade Steward and reminded him of his responsibilities to ensure that all placegetters are scanned prior to the "All Clear" being given to Stewards.  The matter was referred to the club manager.

A pre-race sample was taken from He's A Dude.

Lisburn Star was slow to begin.  Quint Bale, Demtel and Wisen Up collided soon after the start, checking Wisen Up.  Lisburn Star contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Why Not Logan and He's A Dude collided on the first turn.  Eumeralla Flash and Demtel collided on the first turn, approaching the home turn, on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking He's A Dude and Demtel.  Demtel and Wisen Up raced wide in the home straight.

Lisburn Star was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left hamstring and spike wounds to the left hind leg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

G. Burke, trainer of Implosion Liam redeclared a new weight of 34.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Implosion Liam last raced at 32.6kg.

Compelling was quick to begin.  Implosion Liam was slow to begin.  Fiery Fox, Who's That Chap and Happy Hudson collided soon after the start, checking Who's That Chap.  Who's That Chap and Monster Deeds collided soon after the start.  Cerberus and Happy Hudson collided approaching the first turn, checking Cerberus.  Speed Chill checked off Implosion Liam approaching the first turn.  Speed Chill and Who's That Chap collided on the first turn.  Implosion Liam and Monster Deeds collided approaching the home turn, checking Implosion Liam.  Speed Chill and Who's That Chap collided approaching the winning post.

Maisy Mac and Strongbeth were slow to begin.  Hurry Home Cain checked off Barcia Beebee soon after the start.  Cosmic Jewels crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Hurry Home Cain and Harvest Gold.  Barcia Beebee and Get Me collided approaching the first turn.  Kosmik King and Barcia Beebee collided on the first turn, checking Barvia Beebee.  Barcia Beebee and Get Me collided approaching the home turn, checking Cosmic Jewels.  Harvest Gold checked off Barcia Beebee approaching the home turn.  Cosmic Jewels and Barcia Beebee collided on the home turn.  Get Me veered out and marred the running of Kosmic King approaching the winning post.

Get Me was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right hind paw sandburn.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to V Millington, the trainer of the greyhound Get Me regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Get Me with marring.  V Millington pleaded guilty to the charge, Get Me was found guilty and suspended for 12 months (all tracks) and  it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Cogitate trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 30.1kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.10, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 lengths. Cogitate was cleared. 

En Kay Gee trialled over the 390m from box 3, weight 31.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.10, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths. En Kay Gee was cleared. 

Ready Jet Go trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 33.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .5 length. Ready Jet Go was cleared.
