Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Kennedy-Harris the representative of Snowy Hunt regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Snowy Hunt last raced on 12/05/16. Ms. Kennedy-Harris stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a hock injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Snowy Hunt.
Lauren Kasey was quick to begin. Move That Energy was slow to begin. Snowy Hunt and Let's Go Billy collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Move That Energy galloped on Snowy Hunt approaching the first turn checking Move That Energy and severely checking Snowy Hunt which stumbled causing Let's Go Billy to fall. Calabrese Coco and Lauren Kasey collided on the first turn. Bagpipes Billy and To Dee Rhythm collided on the first turn checking To Dee Rhythm. Calabrese Coco faltered approaching the home turn. Calabrese Coco raced wide on the home turn. Winsome Dora galloped on To Dee Rhythm on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Snowy Hunt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hamstring, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Let's Go Billy was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.
