Superior Shane and Monterra collided soon after the start. Superior Shane, Monterra and Manx Knight collided approaching the first turn checking Superior Shane and Monterra. Manx Knight and Oriental Prince collided on the first turn. Manx Knight checked off Oriental Prince approaching the home turn checking Superior Shane; Superior Shane raced wide as a result.
Superior Shane was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right quadriceps muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
