Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Pell, the trainer of Denver Mills regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Denver Mills last raced on 22nd April, 2016 and is returning to racing after a left Ulna injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Roy.
Our Spirit was slow to begin. Blue Label and Denver Mills collided soon after the start checking Blue Label. Stress Star, Tricky Tezza and Crackerjack Roy collided on the first turn checking Tricky Tezza and Crackerjack Roy. Tricky Tezza checked off Baron Lad approaching the home turn. Blue Label checked off Tricky Tezza on the home turn. Spiral Bek and Crackerjack Roy collided entering the home straight checking Spiral Bek. Spiral Bek and Our Spirit collided in the home straight.
A sample was taken from Denver Mills, the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms A Courts regarding the direction that the greyhound Crackerjack Roy be boxed first. Acting under GAR (2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
