Mr. Nasty Time was a late scratching at 2:17pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Shooters Echo.
Willowvale Pearl and Lulu Noir were quick to begin. Shooter's Irish and Lloyd Street were slow to begin. Willowvale Pearl and Shooters Echo collided soon after the start, checking Shooters Echo. Shooter's Irish and Lloyd Street collided approaching the first turn, checking Shooter's Irish. Lloyd Street raced wide on the home turn. Willowvale Pearl and Lulu Noir collided on the home turn and again in the home straight, checking Willowvale Pearl.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd, the trainer of Winsome Dora regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Winsome Dora last raced on 9 January 2016. Mr. Floyd stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after a change of trainer. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Winsome Dora trialled over the 315 metres from box 2, weight 26.4, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four. The time of the trial was 18.53, the greyhound was won by a margin of 6.75 lengths. Winsome Dora was Cleared.
