Cosmic Shiraz and Top Sprite were quick to begin. Cosmic Shiraz and Top Sprite collided soon after the start. Miss Spence and Elfie collided soon after the start, checking Elfie. Cosmic Shiraz crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Miss Spence, Golden Hand and Kobe's Hand. Better Beware and Still Destined collided on the first turn.
