Early Violet was quick to begin. Oh Lele Simon, Oakmont Whisper and Rusty Sidebottom were slow to begin. Taabinga Swift, Jett Zafonic, Black Salve and Pink Rocket collided on the first turn, checking Black Salve. Taabinga Swift, Jett Zafonic and Pink Rocket collided approaching the second turn, checking Jett Zafonic and Pink Rocket. Early Violet lost ground in the back straight. Oh Lele Simon and Black Salve collided on the third turn, checking Taabinga Swift and severely checking Black Salve which stumbled, checking Jett Zafonic.
