Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Sweet Candy.
Bryden Curly, Beksun and Sir Murray were slow to begin. Baroness Jill, Bryden Curly and Sweet Candy collided soon after the start checking Bryden Curly and Sweet Candy. Draculette and Baroness Jill collided approaching the first turn checking Baroness Jill. Draculette and Fab's Fury collided in the back straight. Fab's Fury and Beksun collided in the back straight. Baroness Jill and Fab's Fury collided approaching the home turn checking Bryden Curly and severely checking Fab's Fury which stumbled as a result. Sir Murray raced wide in the home straight.
Fab's Fury was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right monkey muscle and right loin muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
