Lingard, the trainer of Ya There Joe regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ya There Joe last raced on 11th May, 2016 and is returning to racing after being on season.  Mr. Lingard also declared a new weight of 25.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Ya There Joe last raced at 24.4kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Resuts

Mahlo Hero trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 26.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.62. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1 length.  Mahlo Hero was cleared.

Boo Shan trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 2, weight 33.1kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.62. The greyhound won by a margin of 1 length.  Boo Shan was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Cassar, the trainer of Cacoethes regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Cacoethes last raced on 27th December 2015.  Mr. Cassar stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a broken left shoulder.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Cacoethes trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 27.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 5.  The time of the trial was 22.62.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4 lengths.  Cacoethes was cleared.
