Steward's Report

Lacey Underall was a late scratching at 11:35am due to weight variation, GAR 39. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr A. O'Keefe was fined the sum of $100. Captains Mount was slow to begin. Sweet Millions and Pop's Max collided approaching the first turn. Sweet Millions and Sonic Rocket collided on the first turn. Chains Of Fire raced wide approaching the second turn. Captains Mount and Sweet Millions collided on the second turn checking Sweet Millions. Allen Caston checked off Sweet Millions on the third turn. Chains Of Fire was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr R. Camilleri, Handler of Pop's Max, regarding the improved performance of the greyhound. Mr Camilleri said the greyhound has improved due to maturity and racing experience, he also stated that the greyhound began well today and had an interference free run. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action. A sample was taken from Pop's Max, the winner of the event.
