Iron Grip was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Totoski and Lord Flood were slow to begin. Mrs. Affair and Astronomer collided approaching the first turn. Old Fella and Cyclone Ruby collided on the first turn. Mrs. Affair and Astronomer collided approaching the second turn. Lord Flood hit the running rail approaching the second turn. Jay's Spirit clipped the heels of Cyclone Ruby on the second turn. Astronomer, Cyclone Ruby and Totoski collided on the second turn checking Totoski. Totoski checked off Astronomer entering the back straight. Mrs. Affair and Cyclone Ruby collided approaching the third turn checking Iron Grip, severely checking Cyclone Ruby.
Lord Flood was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind, no stand down period was imposed.
