Sundaram and Our Isabell were slow to begin.
Our Isabell checked off Spa Ardoc soon after the start. Jive Talk checked off Thinga Ma Jig on the second turn. Jazzy Cinder checked off Our Jordan approaching the home turn. Sundaram and Jazzy Cinder collided on the home turn checking Jazzy Cinder. Sundaram and Our Isabell collided entering the home straight checking Sundaram. Jive Talk raced wide in the home straight. Thinga Ma Jig checked off Our Isabell approaching the winning post.
Jazzy Cinder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to the right hind. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sundaram was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Watson the trainer of the greyhound Sundaram. Stewards deemed the performance of Sundaram unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Sundaram must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
