Rum Island and Lucia Rossa were slow to begin. Charlie Soprano and Lucia Rossa collided soon after the start. Rum Island, Roll Ém Zac and Charlie Soprano collided on the frist turn checking Rum Island. Rumbalina checked off Super Pablo on the first turn checking Charging In and Lucia Rossa and severely checking Roll Ém Zac. Charging In and Charlie Soprano collided approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Firebomb - winner of the event.

Flying Holly, King's Delight and Coursing Bale collided soon after the start checking King's Delight. Flying Holly, Coursing Bale and Zipping Anna collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. King's Delight faltered on the home turn and pulled up.

King's Delight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strained wrist, left thigh strain and lacerations to the right fore leg knuckles, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Why Not Logan, Jess Delight and Tanner's Ace were slow to begin. Veetee Bomber, Impressive Levy and Tanner's Ace collided approaching the first turn checking Impressive Levy. Why Not Logan checked off Veetee Bomber on the first turn checking Impressive Levy and Tanner's Ace. Jess Delight, Abbey Lee and Veetee Bomber collided approaching the home turn checking Abbey Lee and Veetee Bomber. Onslaught and See Him Run collided several times approaching the home turn checking Onslaught.

Tanner's Ace was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to right fore leg and spike wounds to the left hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Paw Favor and She's Yours were slow to begin. Dr. Klaas and Fancy Agro collided soon after the start checking Fancy Agro. Fancy Agro checked off Dr. Klaas on the first turn. Fancy Agro and Fancy Assassin collided on the first turn checking Fancy Agro and She's Yours. Zany Bale crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Cosmic Ketut and Paw Favor.

Zelemar Doll was quick to begin. Dot Com Diesel was slow to begin. Elbow Room checked off Zelemar Doll approaching the first turn. Soda Lad checked off Zoltina's Legacy approaching the first turn. Golden checked off Zelemar Doll on the first turn checking Elbow Room. Dot Com Diesel checked off Dime approaching the home turn. Golden and Soda Lad collided on the home turn. Dime and Elbow Room collided on the home turn. Dime and Dot Com Diesel collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post. Why Not Les marred the running of Zoltina's Legacy in the home straight severely checking both greyhounds.

Why Not Les was vetted following the event. It was reported that no apparent injury was found.

Zoltina's Legacy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained muscle soreness and grazes to left hock and leg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr W Grey, the trainer of the greyhound Why Not Les regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Why Not Les with marring. Mr Grey pleaded guilty to the charge, Why Not Les was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr S Humphries was fined the sum of $50 for his failure to produce the registration papers/registration card for the greyhound Roman Baroque pursuant to GAR 33.

Hestia Bale was slow to begin. Chrichton Bale and Airbound collided soon after the start checking Chrichton Bale which stumbled as a result. Hestia Bale checked off Pyromania on the first turn. Stop Moochin', Roman Baroque and College Queen collided on the first turn checking College Queen, Airbound and Chrichton Bale. College Queen and Airbound collided on the home turn. College Queen checked off Airbound entering the homne straight checking Chrichton Bale. Pyromania and Airbound collided in the home straight.

All Inn River and Ivy Lane collided soon after the start. Be Two Bomber crossed to the rail on the first turn checking  Brown Bomber, Big Barking Bert, Tron's Son and Black Macoy. Tron's Son checked off Ivy Lane approaching the home turn. Brown Bomber checked off Sonny's Tas on the home turn. All Inn River and Tron's Son collided on the home turn. Black Macoy and Tron's Son collided entering the home straight.

Ivy Bale and Why Not Oscar were slow to begin. All Inn Troy, Immortal Bear and Le Luca collided soon after the start checking Le Luca. Immortal Bear and Sofa So Good collided approaching the first turn checking Immortal Bear. All Inn Troy and Sofa So Good collided on the first turn. All Inn Troy, Immortal Bear and Sofa So Good collided on the home turn.

Why Not Oscar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist and shoulder strain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

All Inn Africa and Manelito were slow to begin. Wolfpack and Sutton Club collided soon after the start. Where's Exford and Maximum Shera collided soon after the start. All Inn Africa, Manelito and Sutton Club collided approaching the first turn. Sutton Club, Maximum Shera and All Inn Africa collided on the first turn checking Maximum Shera and All Inn Africa. Sutton Club and Faith In Bear collided approaching the home turn. All Inn Africa and Maximu Shera collided entering the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Reckless Brown.

Theory's Legacy was slow to begin. Final Bid and Kraken Conan collided soon after the start. Soul Maker checked off Iona Lucky Seven on the first turn. Final Bid galloped on the heels of Soul Maker on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Kraken Conan and Iona Lucky Seven collided on the home turn.

Soul Maker was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a mild neck strain, no stand down period was imposed.

Final Bid was vetted following the event. It was reported that no apparent injury was found.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter, Mr G Glass did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Dark Saga checked off Hot And Lonesome on the first turn.

Oxygen Bandit was a late scratching at 2:47pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. K. Kubik was fined the sum of $100.

Tredgar was slow to begin. Zoltina's Prize, Tredgar and Tat Duke collided soon after the start checking Tredgar. Tat Duke checked off All Inn Jack soon after the start. Zoltina's Prize checked off Tybellene on the first turn checking Tredgar. Tat Duke raced wide on the home turn. Zoltina's Prize and Tredgar collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking Zoltina's Prize.

Zoltina's Prize was vetted following the event. It was reported that no apparent injury was found.

Meeting Comments-

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kraken Blaze trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 33.3kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.76 the greyhound was beaten a margin of 6.5 lengths. Kraken Blaze was cleared. 

Satisfactory Weight Trial (Solo) - Collita trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 22.2kg. The time of the trial was 22.65, Collita was cleared.
