Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Good, the trainer of Wynburn Lucre regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Wynburn Lucre last raced on 1st March, 2016. Mr. Good stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel and was returning to race after a wrist injury.
Rosie's Gift was quick to begin. Ollie Aztec and Star Deli collided soon after the start, checking Star Deli. Wynburn Lucre faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off. Rosie's Gift checked off Star Deli in the home straight. Rosie's Gift and Gundy's Gift collided in the home straight.
Wynburn Lucre was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sprained carpal. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
