Richard Shi Quee and Whacker Fancy collided soon after the start, checking Richard Shi Quee, Whacker Fancy and American Doll. American Doll and Urana Woofa collided on the first turn, checking Urana Woofa. Richard Shi Quee and Whacker Fancy collided approaching the home turn, severely checking Urana Woofa which fell as a result.
Whacker Fancy was vetted following the event and revetted following race 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right sesoid. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Urana Woofa was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
